Trip Report

(trip report created 6 years after trip, so details are a lacking a little)

We had a larger group with us this year. James, Laura and Amanda came from Greeley. Rafael and his GF came in from Denver. Brad, Emily and I drove together. And, of course, my parents and Nukka. And I’m pretty sure my parents got a flat on their way.

What will go down in history as being the most memorable thing about this trip was drunk history, performed by Brad LaFame. I could leave the trip report at that, show the video and that would be all that is needed for this year’s info. It was that memorable.

We ventured into three separate areas this year for canyons: Poison Springs, Lake Powell and San Rafael Swell. I believe this was the first (and last) time some of us in the group (Brad, Emily and I) did four canyon days in a row. Not “last” because it was bad, we’re just lazy now – 3 is a good number.

We also took a side trip to the east end of Lake Powell after Shillelagh and took a swim to cool off. Again a first and so far only time we’ve done that.

Cristina: My memory is terrible. I know I loved the Poison Springs canyons but I don’t think we did all four of them. I think just the drunk history video would suffice for this trip.
